Sustainability
Our planet and our nature face a vast amount of challenges that we need to deal with together. We believe that the first step in that process is to look at oneself in the mirror to see what we can do better, which is exactly what we have done.
We, the founders of Belt of Sweden, have from the very beginning aimed at creating a business that affects our surroundings and our nature in a positive way. We want Belt of Sweden to leave a positive footprint on our planet and help contribute to preserve the beautiful nature found in Sweden as well as on the rest of the globe. Our target has from the beginning been to offer affordable and fashionable belts with a fit that suits everyone perfectly, always with sustainability in mind.
We are a young startup, implying that we initially have a limited amount of resources to achieve the targets we have built our firm around. Therefore, we have been trying to figure out how we should approach our work with sustainability in order to accomplish the creation of a completely sustainable belt as well as a sustainable operation as a whole. We have settled with a sustainability vision that we believe fulfills the values we set up when founding Belt of Sweden.
We aim to grow organically and in step with that continuously contribute to a positive footprint on our surroundings. Therefore, at the end of 2022 we want to be completely climate-positive, something that entails that our ecological footprint is positive in the sense that our presence as a firm captures more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions than our operation releases.
Even though we have a vision stating we want to be climate positive at the end of 2022 and accordingly fulfilling our aim of our presence leaving a positive footprint onto our surroundings, this doesn't mean that our work on sustainability ends there. We want to continuously attempt to better and develop our efforts on sustainability in order to find new and innovative ways to create a better place for all of us.
Where are we today?
Our efforts have just begun and we couldn't be more enthusiastic. Together with you, we embark on an exciting journey towards an important objective that we hope will have a true and lasting impact on you, us, and the planet as a whole.
